There are some 270 Aboriginal sites which have been identified in the Shire and are listed on the National Parks and Wildlife register. They date back to Aboriginal custodianship 40,000 years ago and include open camp sites, axe grinding grooves, rock engravings, burial areas and stone arrangements. To find out more.
